Do you get bored of eating the same thing day in and day out? Are your meals looking bland and flavorless? Here are some fun recipes you can try for dinner and dessert that are both healthy and clean. These recipes are full of protein and nutrients and best of all, they have some flavor!! Try them out next time you want to spice up your meals. Make extra and store in containers for extra meals in the week.
Turkey & Quinoa
Ground Turkey 99% Fat Free
Cook 1-2 servings of quinoa in a separate pot on the stove.
Make turkey in pot and place to side.
While quinoa is cooking, drizzle olive oil into a pot and wait till it is hot. Put onions in pan till transparent then add in garlic. Don't let the garlic burn. Add in all other veggies. Put a little lime juice and water into the pot so that the veggies can cook. Add enough water so the veggies can cook but not too much- you want the water to be gone by the time they are done. Add in cilantro, a little sea salt, black pepper and some taco seasoning. Add turkey back into the mix.
When quinoa is finished, place at the bottom of the bowl. Place veggies and turkey meat and top off with fresh slices of avocado.
COCONUT PROTEIN MUG CAKE
1 scoop of chocolate flavored protein powder (I like gold standard)
2 tsp of cocoa powder
1-2 tbsp of coconut flakes- unsweetened
1/4 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp vanilla or chocolate almond milk (unsweetened)
1-2 tbsp greek yogurt (plain or vanilla)
1 egg white
2 tbsp fat free cream cheese
2 tbsp Greek yogurt
1 packet of stevia
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1-2 drops of butter extract
1-2 drops of coconut extract
Mix cake ingredients in a bowl. Spray a big mug with pam and add batter. Microwave (1 min) or put in toaster oven (stick with toothpick). Mix frosting in a separate bowl and drizzle on top. I like to top with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
