A lot of time clients will tell me that they are doing EVERYTHING they can to lose weight but nothing is working. Have you fallen victim of this as well? Do not worry, it actually can be pretty common. I am going to let you in on some secrets as to why you aren't losing weight assuming that your diet is very clean and well proportioned.
1) Stress. Stress is the biggest culprit. Like I keep telling you, our minds are powerful. They are so powerful that they can tell our bodies what to do and what not to do! Do you have a lot of stress? Too much going on in that brain of yours? Take some time to relax and unwind and this could be the trick to decreasing your weight on the scale.
2) Lack of sleep. Our bodies are machines but that doesn't mean they can run 24 hours a day 7 days a week. They need to be charged and that happens through sleep. Make sure you are getting at least 7-8 hours a night of solid sleep. Make it a point to do this everyday and take note at how you feel. Your body will thank you.
3) Exercise. Seems like a no brainer, huh? Well, fortunately eating healthy loves to be accompanied by exercise! They both make you feel great and speed up the process of your results. Not to mention, exercising is great for your muscles, bones, organs, and mind.
4) Hydration. Are you a regular at starbucks? Do you have a pot of coffee a day? Coffee is great, in moderation. If you are a coffee or caffeine drinker, you must remember that these dehydrate you and you must replenish your body with water. Drinking water is the most important thing you can do for your body. It is great for your skin, great for your joints, and keeps you functioning at your optimal level.
If you seem to have tried everything and still can't lose weight then try adding these into your regimen. Weight loss programs should be done in a healthy way with plenty of clean food, a proper exercise regimen and a healthy lifestyle.
