It many not feel like it today in Chicago, but summer is quickly approaching! Summer can be a great time to spend outdoors, try new activities, attempt new and refreshing recipes and much more. However, summer can be a real damper if you aren't comfortable with the lack of wardrobe that goes with it. I am going to give you some quick tips to getting those arms tight and ready for hot weather.
(3 sets and 15 reps of everything)
-Push ups on the ground (if this is too hard, try doing them on a bench on the incline).
-Front raises and side raises with dumbbells
-Tricep push ups with elbows glued to your rib cage!
-Bent over arm extensions with dumbbells
- Overhead press either with dumbbells or with the smith machine
-Chest flies on free motion cables (centered at chest)
-Tricep dips on the bench or machine
-Hanging rear delt raises with light weight and arms fully extended
Try these exercises next time you do an upper body day. These exercises target your chest, shoulders, and deltoids. These can help build lean muscle and the more lean muscle you have the more fat you will burn.
