Do you live a healthy life? Are you living your life to the maximum by feeding yourself nutritious food and exercising regularly? I challenge you to the 1 week healthy living challenge. For one week eat WHOLE foods (nothing processed) and try and get some sort of movement into your day for at least 60 minutes.
Now, what do I mean by eating whole foods? A whole food is food that has been processed or refined as little as possible and is free from additives or other artificial substances.
Examples of good whole foods:
Natural grains (not refined/white)
Fruit (not canned)
Natural dairy products (check the labels)
Vegetables (the thicker the skin the less processed it is)
Nuts/seeds (nut butters are my favorite!)
Proteins (chicken/turkey/beef) Make sure these types of meat are minimally processed with no hormones added.
Try to incorporate a lean protein, healthy fat, and non refined carbohydrate in each meal.
Now let's talk about movement. It may seem so simple, but for many people getting 60 minutes of movement in their day seems like a chore and typically is pushed to the bottom of the to-do-list. Instead of letting this go to an end day project, I challenge you to wake up an hour earlier tomorrow (yes, you will be OK) and get outside and walk! I know, I know, its winter. I get it.. I am sure that you own a winter coat and some boots though! This is a great way to relax the mind, not have to think about work, absorb the fresh air, and just have some time to yourself.
These are 2 simple challenges could change your lifestyle and help you drop pounds easily. Eat whole foods and get moving!!
